The Nigerian Senate has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 52.
In a special valedictory session held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the Senate suspended its rules to allow family members and close relatives to attend the session.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, in his address, remembered Ubah as a visionary leader with extraordinary empathy and a champion of economic empowerment and community development.
He noted that Ubah’s legacy as a successful businessman from Otolo, Nnewi North, and representative of Anambra South in the National Assembly will undoubtedly continue to inspire and influence future generations.
During the session, Ubah’s seat was covered with the Nigerian flag and adorned with four symbolic candles, serving as a poignant reminder of his contributions to the nation.
The Senate’s tribute is a testament to Ubah’s impact on Nigerian politics and his community.
