The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has approved the payment of the new ₦70,000 minimum wage for FCT staff.
This announcement was made by the Acting Head of the Civil Service of FCT, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, through a statement issued by her Press Secretary, Ewhenji Anthony Odey.
Mrs. Adayilo also mentioned that the Minister has granted approval for the payment of three months’ arrears for all staff of the administration, effective from November 2024.
The statement highlighted that this decision reflects the Minister’s commitment to the welfare of FCT staff.
According to the Head of Service, “this gesture will further spur the entire staff of the Administration to support the Minister to continue to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
