History was made on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the glamorous Lekki Centre Luxury Hall, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria as Queen Muniroh Ajibola Oyindamola emerged the maiden winner of the Miss Motherland Nigeria beauty pageant.
The 22-year-old, who represented Kwara State, was crowned the first-ever Miss Motherland Nigeria, making her the face of a new national initiative aimed at celebrating culture, unity, and empowerment.
Oyindamola, a graduate of History and International Studies from a private University and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy at the University of Lagos, stood out among the contestants with her poise, intellect, and vision for Nigeria.
Speaking after her victory, Queen Oyindamola, who describes herself as a model, entrepreneur, and passionate learner, said her journey as a pageant queen has inspired her to embrace authenticity as she encouraged others to do the same.
According to the Queen, she is committed to using her one-year reign to champion national unity while spearheading developmental projects and initiatives across the country.
“I believe this platform will allow me to connect with people, promote cultural pride, and foster unity among Nigerians,” she noted.
The well-attended event featured notable celebrities, stakeholders in the fashion and entertainment industry, and dignitaries from across the country, adding glamour to the historic occasion.
Emerging as the first runner-up was Queen Emmanuella Okika, representing Anambra State.
A graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Ilorin, Okika is a fashion enthusiast and budding entrepreneur who impressed the judges with her elegance and charisma.
The 2nd runner up of the Miss Motherland Nigeria Tourism went to Queen Deborah Joshua Azibapumoni, representing Bayelsa State.
The 22-year-old model and student of a Federal University in Bayelsa expressed her passion for using her office to promote tourism and cultural heritage across Nigeria.
The debut edition of Miss Motherland Nigeria has set a remarkable standard, not only for celebrating beauty but also for inspiring a new generation of young Nigerian women to embrace leadership, cultural pride, and social responsibility.
