Megan Thee Stallion wrote that “Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet,'” and that she had been “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season. Now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’????” In a separate statement she added, “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
The post capped a public relationship that had been presented as affectionate for months. The couple made a red carpet debut earlier in the year at the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala, and reports in October said they had purchased a home together. The two were first linked in July after fans noticed Thompson in the background of one of her social posts; that month Megan told a news outlet, “I have never dated somebody so kind,” and called it “my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy.”
