, the president and co-founder of , has died at 65 after what the network described as a serious, private health struggle. Daystar said her condition worsened in the last few days despite the efforts of her medical team and prayers from around the world.

The ministry said a back injury compounded those challenges and led to a more serious medical situation than anyone anticipated. The announcement came as publicly confirmed Lamb's death on social media and called her a general for the kingdom, a pioneer and a worldwide evangelist who finished her course.

Lamb had been a fixture in Christian broadcasting since the 1980s and helped build after co-founding it with her husband, , in 1993. Marcus Lamb died in 2021, and Joni Lamb remarried in 2023 to Dr. , who later joined her as a co-host on Daystar.

That long public life is part of why her death lands so heavily for the ministry now. Daystar said it had already worked out a succession plan with its board, an acknowledgment that the network had prepared for leadership continuity even as it mourned one of the faces most closely tied to its identity.

The message from the ministry was both a farewell and a promise. It said Lamb's love for the Lord and for the people Daystar served shaped the network from the beginning, and it added that it would keep broadcasting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every nation alongside viewers.

Lamb is survived by Weiss and her three children, , Rachel and Rebecca. The family has asked for prayers and privacy in the days ahead.
