cdcfib released the examination results for Nigeria’s paramilitary recruitment and reopened its portal after disqualifying 360,923 applications. The board said advancement to the next stage will be merit-based, with only top-performing candidates from each state shortlisted for further screening.
CDCFIB Results
The Federal Government, through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, published the long-awaited results after the online examination ended. That release matters to applicants who had faced weeks of uncertainty as portal access problems and poor communication circulated during the exercise.
The board said 1,120,491 applications were successfully completed, while 432,935 were left incomplete. It also said 360,923 applications were disqualified during screening for various issues identified in the process. The figures show that a large share of those who started the recruitment did not reach the stage where their scores could be considered for the next round.
Score Bands and Screening
The results placed 221,996 candidates in the 0 to 40 range, 229,155 between 41 and 60, 278,543 between 61 and 80, 108,142 between 81 and 90, and 34,555 between 91 and 100. Those bands give candidates a clearer view of where they stand after the exam and how far they are from the cut for further screening.
One practical effect is that the board is not moving everyone forward. It said only the top-performing candidates from each state will be shortlisted, which means scores alone will not be enough unless they rank high enough within their state pool.
Top Performers by State
The board’s next step narrows the field again after the release of scores. Candidates now have the result they were waiting for, but only those who finish near the top in their states will continue in the recruitment process.
For applicants, the reopening of the portal signals that the exercise has entered its screening phase, with the merit-based shortlist now the gate to the next round.
