Tega Dominic has denied allegations that she had a sexual relationship with Frank Edoho, saying she never had an affair with the broadcaster and has never spent private time with him. She said the matter had become serious enough that her lawyers would handle it.
Dominic said she decided to respond after what she described as false accusations began to stain her name. "I honestly did not want to speak on this because I have spent a long time trying to stay away from unnecessary drama, but at this point, my silence is no longer helping," she said, adding, "I have absolutely no sexual or emotional relationship with Frank Edoho."
She described Edoho as a friend she met through social media and mutual familiarity, saying they started talking around mid-last year after he sent birthday wishes to her mother. Dominic said the first and only time she spent time with him was in the presence of her manager, Paul Ukonu.
The dispute surfaced after Sandra Onyenuchenuya, Edoho’s estranged wife, claimed he had been involved in affairs with several celebrities. Dominic said she and Edoho were both separated, and that if there had ever been anything romantic between them, she would have said so openly. "He was separated at the time, and I am also separated," she said. "I have worked too hard to build myself and my brand step by step to allow false accusations stain my name like this."
Edoho’s personal life has been public for years. He was previously married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang, with whom he has three children, before that marriage ended in 2010 after seven years together. He later married Onyenuchenuya in 2013; they welcomed their first child in 2014 and a second in 2016. Edoho announced last year that that marriage had ended in December 2022.
For now, Dominic is pressing for evidence and saying the next step is legal. "I believe it is important for evidence to be provided because I will not let this slide," she said. "This has honestly been very upsetting for me, but moving forward, my lawyers will handle the matter appropriately."
