Rema joins Anitta, Lisa on FIFA World Cup song ‘GOALS’

Nigerian singer is the lead voice on a new FIFA World Cup song titled "GOALS," FIFA announced in a video posted to its official Instagram page on Tuesday night.

The track, produced in partnership with FIFA and released Thursday via SALXCO UAM and Def Jam Recordings, brings together Rema with Brazilian singer and of BLACKPINK and features contributions from Tropkillaz. Grammy-winning producer Cirkut produced the record, which FIFA says draws from Afrobeats, K-pop and Latin pop and will form part of the music campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

FIFA said the trio will perform "GOALS" live for the first time at the World Cup opening ceremony at on June 12, the tournament’s opening day across the , and Mexico. The track is the fifth release off the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, following "Lighter," "Por Ella," "Echo" and "Illuminate."

Rema framed the collaboration as a symbolic joining of scenes, saying: "Three continents, one track…bringing all our sounds together like this is a big moment for music on the world stage." LISA added: "Being a part of the Official FIFA World Cup Album this year has been so exciting. Music always unites people across the world, so it has been an honour to work with Anitta and Rema." Anitta said the project carried personal weight: "My connection to the World Cup is deeply emotional. I’m Brazilian, after all, of course I have wonderful memories tied to the tournament," and called it "incredibly special to now contribute to its history, collaborating with LISA and Rema on Goals! I’m very grateful for this opportunity."

FIFA timed the release as part of a broader entertainment lineup for its 2026 campaign. The track arrived on all major streaming platforms on Thursday accompanied by an official music video, and FIFA said Rema will headline the opening ceremony in the United States, sharing the Los Angeles Stadium bill with South African star , American rapper Future, pop star , Anitta and LISA.

The playlisting choice and production credits underline FIFA’s push to mix global pop languages: the single’s blend of Afrobeats, K-pop and Latin pop — and the participation of artists from Africa, South America and Asia — are built into the record’s stated aim and into Rema’s own summation of the project.

The friction in that ambition is visible in plain terms: a single song cannot capture every national memory or musical tradition bound up in a tournament staged across three countries. Still, FIFA has made a clear programming decision to foreground cross‑continental collaboration, and the inclusion of a Grammy-winning producer and contributions from Tropkillaz strengthens the record’s commercial reach ahead of the tournament.

What happens next is fixed on calendar dates: the 2026 World Cup opens June 12, when "GOALS" will be heard live for the first time at the Los Angeles Stadium; the tournament itself runs across the United States, Canada and Mexico, and the album will continue to roll out releases tied to that schedule. For now, FIFA and the artists have put Rema at the center of their opening night soundtrack, signaling that the campaign will lean on high-profile, genre-crossing moments to set the tone for the summer.
