Applications are now open for the 2026 NNPC–SNEPCo Postgraduate Scholarship, putting a fully funded path to a one-year Master’s degree in the United Kingdom back on the table for prospective students.
The scholarship is being run by Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited in partnership with NNPC Limited and co-venture partners. It can be used at the University of Aberdeen and Newcastle University, two UK institutions that are now part of the current intake.
That matters because the opening of the application window is the news trigger. For applicants looking for postgraduate funding abroad, this is the point at which interest turns into action, and the programme’s appeal rests on a simple offer: one year of master’s study, fully funded, at two named universities.
What remains out of view is just as important. The announcement does not give an application deadline or set out eligibility criteria, leaving interested candidates without the full checklist they would normally need before submitting. That means the opportunity is live, but the details needed to compete for it are still incomplete in the public notice.
For now, the next step is straightforward: applications. The window has opened for 2026, and anyone hoping to use the scholarship will have to move before the unpublished closing date becomes the limiting factor.
