Barça Atlètic overturned a halftime deficit to beat Atlètic Lleida 2-1 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, with Víctor Barberà equalizing in the 92nd minute and Álex Campos netting the winner in the 96th.
Joan Campins had put already-relegated Atlètic Lleida ahead in the 25th minute, and the visitors held that 0-1 scoreline into the break. Early in the match Soule Sidibe struck the post, Jaume Pascual forced a big save from goalkeeper Diego Kochen, and Aziz Issah hit the crossbar, underscoring a game of fine margins that stayed with both sides until the end.
Barça Atlètic’s comeback came in a frantic finish after six minutes of added time. Kochen made a decisive stop late in regular time that kept Barça in the game, and the visitors were punished when Víctor Barberà finished the equalizer in the 92nd minute. Four minutes later, Álex Campos turned the tie into a win for the hosts with a dramatic 96th-minute strike.
The appearance of 18-year-old Ibrahim Diarra in the 75th minute marked his debut for the side, one of the few positive notes for the home bench before the late flurry. The result left Barça Atlètic in sixth place, still chasing fifth and the final playoff spot in the last round of Segunda RFEF Group 3.
Manager Juliano Belletti praised the team’s fight after the match, saying the result was a fair reward for refusing to give up and that the squad had shown competitive character despite the shaky performance. He acknowledged that it had not been the team’s best game in possession or chance creation and added that after falling 0-1 they had to take risks to get back into the match.
Belletti also warned about the young side’s vulnerabilities, noting that turnovers hurt them against teams that sit deep and attack on the break. His assessment echoed what played out on the pitch: a side that could be rattled defensively but capable of producing decisive moments when needed.
The win did not change the arithmetic. Barça Atlètic must beat Torrent in the final round and rely on either Reus or Alcoyano failing to win to reach the playoffs. Reus won its match on the same weekend and remains level with Barça Atlètic on 52 points, holding the head-to-head tiebreaker advantage — a detail that hands Reus control of its destiny and leaves Barça dependent on others.
Atlètic Lleida went into the game already relegated back to Tercera RFEF, but they made the trip to the Johan Cruyff stadium a test until the last whistle, taking the lead through Campins and coming close on several occasions. For Barça Atlètic, the late goals offered relief rather than certainty: the team showed the capacity to fight back, but the flaws Belletti flagged will matter again in a final round that now carries everything.
Barça Atlètic’s dramatic win will be remembered for its timing — goals in the 92nd and 96th minutes — but it also sharpened the season’s big question: can a young side that struggles to keep the ball and create chances win at Torrent under pressure and then hope Reus or Alcoyano slip up? The answer next weekend will decide whether this comeback was a turning point or merely a last-gasp reprieve.
